The updates are coming, but first…

Seriously personal: Monica & I are back from a much needed vacation, one that included a lot of down time for rest. As we get back to the grind, it’s time again to put out the call for donations.

For those who don’t know, Monica has a major jaw issue that has resulted in the need for reconstructive surgery. Because of her age, health insurance won’t pay for it. It’s going to have to come out of pocket…

And it’s a sizeable chunk.

The first outlay will be $125k and that’s just to start the process. That’s for orthodontics to prepare for surgery, a surgery that’s going to still be as much as four years away.

A good way to help us lay the groundwork for this effort is to take advantage of our current quilt raffle. Monica’s cousin Cynthia made an amazing quilt and has donated it for us to give away this September.

To buy chances, visit Monica’s fundraising page on Go Fund Me.

Honestly, we both are very awkward about going this route, because we know you’re all asked to donate / buy / fundraise yourselves for so many various things. Unfortunately, for as good as things are for us, this outlay is just beyond what we can do in this large of an amount.

So, forward we go! Thanks for your consideration and we appreciate you!
